Isles Wooden Boat Building Committee “House Haul”

Rain or Shine from Snellins Cove to the Twillingate Museum

To participate the Isles Wooden Boat Building Committee recommend a minimum donation of $20.00, must be 18 years or older and sign a waiver.

The 100 yearold building is believed to have been first used as a retail store by the Howlett brothers of Durrell, Twillingate. In 1913 the goodwill of the business, though not it’s property, was sold to the  Earle family, with Harry Howlett continuing on as manager. In 1926 the structure was bought by the Ashbourne business, a location in Durrell where it became part of the firms “Lower Trade” until the 1970s.In the 1980s the store was bought by Gordan Bath, passing it to his nephew Danny in the 1990s.

The Irish Descendants

The Irish Descendants have been a mainstay in the Newfoundland and Canadian Music industry for over two decades. In that time the band has performed over 4000 shows across North America and beyond! Con O’Brien, one of Newfoundland’s most recognized entertainers, his rich bariton voice once described as “a voice that could wake the dead” has been performing Irish Newfoundland music for a quarter century. The Irish Descendants are one of the products of this proud heritage! Great entertainment for all the family!
