The George Hawkins Memorial Arena is bustling with
activity during the Festival weekend. Displays and sales of Newfoundland crafts,
homemade baked goods, game booths, food and refreshment booths, community organization
displays are all available for you to enjoy. As well, a general information booth
and first aid station will be open for services.

Come share in our Newfoundland
Pride! The Festival Parade kicks off the annual celebrations as individuals of all
ages, as well as local businesses display their Newfoundland pride in the form of
traditional costumes and float displays.

The parade, led by community representatives such as the RCMP and the
R.C.S.C.C. Briton Sea Cadets is a great success every year and travels along Twillingate's
main street starting from the Twillingate Museum and proceeding to the George Hawkins
Arena, the main centre of activity for the festivities. The parade is followed by
the Official Opening Ceremonies that takes place at the Arena.

Family Bonfire
Come participate in a Good Ol'
Newfie Camp Fire Sing-A-Long! Bring your own wieners and marshmallows, and, any of
you who are musically inclined can bring along your musical instrument and join the
entertainment. This is a family event, so bring along the kids! To find the
location follow the flow of traffic. This event is a huge success and won't be hard

Long-Liner Parade
You might choose to travel by foot for
this event! The one and only traffic jam the community has each year happens
tonight! This event is a great success. It is held on Manuel's
ValuFoods
Parking Lot, the admission is free, and everyone is welcome! This event is followed
by the Fireworks over Twillingate Harbour. A long-liner parade is also held,
providing the local long liners are available at that time!

Started in the summer of 1998, the All Around the Circle
Dinner Theatre have thrilled audiences with their talent in Newfoundland
Culture. This Group of six talented Newfoundlanders offer their talents six
nights a week during the summer. When attending their show you get to
witness the diverse talents they have. The group not only performs, but
prepares and serves a traditional meal, so you won't get hungry during the
performance.

This
local musical group specializes in folk and traditional Newfoundland music. They are
an eight-piece ladies singing group, performing both traditional works and original works
that are composed under the leadership of group member, Ada Piercey-Jenkins. The
group often creates original arrangements of traditional Newfoundland music, and
accompanies themselves with a variety of instruments. They will be performing at
several events at this year's Fish Fun & Folk Festival.

offers daily traditional Newfoundland meals during its festivities. You can enjoy a
variety of Newfoundland foods by visiting these local meals during your stay. Menus
vary from potluck to seafood to Newfie Pea Soup and dumplings! Try some Newfie baked
beans or a good ol' Jiggs Dinner!
